According to the recording of the data in the musical score of Panos Mavraganis’ song, the latter comes from the vaudeville "I trata tou kapetan Konstanti" and was composed by Loudovikos Spinellis with lyrics by Ioannis Laios.

The label of the record reads "Varcarola ("Barcarolle").
The recording was made between January 28 and February 16, 1922 by the sound engineer Harold Fleming.
